We’ve led the fight for fair pay and economic opportunity for women — and the battle continues: Women still get just 83 cents for every dollar paid to a man, and men continue to dominate the top roles and highest-paying professions.

The Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID) is an international organization working to achieve gender equality and women’s human rights across the word. The vision of AWID is “a world where feminist realities flourish, where resources and power are shared in ways that enable everyone, and future generations, to thrive and realize their full potential with dignity, love and respect, and where Earth nurtures life in all its diversity”. The organization supports the gender justice movements to become driving forces in oppression.

At Equality Now, we believe in creating a just world for women and girls. Since 1992, our international network of lawyers, activists and supporters have tackled the most difficult issues, challenged ingrained cultural assumptions and called out inequality wherever we see it.

The goal of the center is to foster collaboration by building a network of multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary scientists, program evaluators, and technical assistance staff whose work has focused on gender-based issues and interventions.
The RTI Global Gender Center brings together experts from across numerous disciplines including health policy; substance abuse; HIV, sexual and reproductive health; education and economic development; and gender-based violence.
The center also includes a global network of prestigious external affiliates who are internationally known gender scientists and leaders of institutes for women. Through its global network, the center aims to cross-pollinate expertise and build collaborations that will foster new research with the potential to significantly influence practice and policy to improve gender inequities globally.

The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is the UN agency dedicated to gender equality. The agency was established to accelerate progress on meeting women’s needs across the world. It supports the UN members states in achieving global standards of gender equality, and it works closely with civil society organizations and governments to design and implement policies, laws and services that benefit women.
