Covid-19 has placed added emotional, psychological, and educational hardships on children and their families. Fortunately, there are neighborhood resources that provide counseling, advocacy, information and education to help not only with the stresses of Covid-19, but also the challenges of returning to a post-Covid life. This guide, Mental Health Resources for Children and Their Families, attempts to place accessible, valuable, and affordable mental health resources within reach of our community of families.  This site will be updated on an ongoing basis.

  • New York Project Hope: Westchester  Crisis Counseling
    • Contact  trained crisis counselors to find resources that can help address the challenges brought by COVID-19 and to connect with emotional support.
  • NAMI Westchester
    • The Westchester branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides counseling, peer to peer support, classes and programs.
  • NAMI Basics
    • NAMI Basics is a 6-session education program for parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth (ages 22 and younger) who are experiencing mental health symptoms. NAMI Basics is available online through NAMI Basics On Demand.
